International Collaboration: Record a Video – Win a Reward!

“The World Meets in Seattle” campaign is an initiative by the Seattle Historic Waterfront Association. Join us in showcasing the unity and cultural diversity of international visitors in Seattle as the city prepares for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

About the Campaign:

The Spirit of Unity: “The World Meets in Seattle” campaign aims to give international visitors from around the globe a chance to share their unique cultural identities. Through heartfelt greetings, participants can proudly represent their countries and celebrate the diverse tapestry of humanity.

Individual Greetings: We invite every international visitor in Seattle to participate in this remarkable campaign. Record a short video of yourself while exploring the iconic Seattle waterfront or enjoying a ride on the FREE Waterfront Shuttle.  In your video, introduce yourself by answering this question: What country will you cheer for in the 2026 FIFA World Cup?  For example, if you are French, we expect that you will say “La France!” or “GO France”, or “Allez la France”, or “I’m cheering for France in Seattle!”

3 Easy Steps:

  1. Film your Greeting: Grab your smartphone or camera. Find your perfect spot and record a short video of yourself introducing your country (10 seconds maximum).

  2. Submit your Video: Upload your video through the easy-to-use online form below.

  3. Enjoy your Reward: We will deliver your reward quickly so you can use it during your travels in town.  That’s it!

Perks of Participation:

As a token of appreciation for your accepted video, we will offer you a reward.  See the Video Submission Form below for details.

Objective & How it Works:

  1. We will accept one video per country.
  2. If your video is accepted, you will receive a reward.
  3. Videos must be shot on Seattle’s waterfront or in the FREE Waterfront Shuttle to be accepted.  The video must be shorter than 10 seconds, be uploaded in mp4 or mov format, and have a file size smaller than 15MB.
  4. Videos are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We will usually let you know if your video is accepted on the same day.  You will receive your reward quickly.
  5. Accepted videos will be put together to make a video called “The World Meets in Seattle.”  When completed, it will be posted on this page for viewing and sharing.

TIPS:

If you are the only person in your video: Introduce yourself by answering this question in your video: What country will you cheer for in the 2026 FIFA World Cup?  For example, if you are French, we expect that you will say “France!” or “GO France”, or “Allez la France”, or “I’m cheering for France in Seattle!”  You have 10 seconds to be creative.

If your video is of a group:  Your group should say a greeting in unison in line with The World Meets in Seattle theme (remember, max video length is 10 seconds).  Families, tour groups, work teams, and friends are welcome.

We accept videos with positive energy, good lighting, and decent sound.

CLOSED TO COUNTRIES WITH A VIDEO ALREADY ACCEPTED:

As of August 2, 2023, this program is open to international visitors in Seattle from all countries.  We will post accepted videos here.
